Ensuring Quality at Every Stage

Simulation Test – Sound Castings.

Simulation is done using one of the best software in the world for gating design & development of defect free castings at the time of development. It also helps in yield improvement giving right quality of the parts. Apart from simulation, we undertake in-house testing of castings which includes Hardness, Elongation, Tensile , Impact, UT & PT. All results are shared with customer by providing as per EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate.

Microscopic Analysis

A microscope examination is conducted on every heat of the castings for its metallurgical analysis. We examine the microstructure of castings (graphite shape, pearlite, ferrite, carbides, nodularity), verify nodularity and graphite distribution in ductile iron. Apart from this grain size and phase distribution is checked & images are captured. Defects such as micro-porosity, inclusions, or cracks are traced if any. This all validates whether the casting meets the required metallurgical properties. Metallurgical microscope helps to ensure that each casting meets the mechanical and chemical standards required by customers.

Spectro Analysis

All heats produced by the foundry are checked for chemistry using Spectrometer Machine – SPECTROCHECK supplied by from Ametek Germany. This machine has been imported from Germany and checks castings for 26 elements & provides direct online reports for customer. We have maximum CRM samples to calibrate the machine as per the specific range to maintain our quality.

Coordinate Measuring Machine

Parts machined in CNC Machine shop are checked on CMM Machine from Mitutoyo during setup approval , In-process Inspection and final inspection. Mitutoyo CMM are designed to meet high standards of accuracy, reliability, and precision. The accuracy levels of CMM is specified according to international standards, including ISO 10360. These tests ensures that the CMM performs consistently and meets the specified limit of accuracy. The CMM is equipped with advance features such as high-speed scanning, multi sensor compatibility and anti-vibrations stands making them suitable for various applications.

Painting

Castings are painted using controlled spray-painting processes to ensure a uniform, durable, and corrosion-resistant finish. After painting, castings is checked using a Paint Thickness Tester (Coating Thickness Gauge) & paint visual inspection to avoid defects like paint run down, peel off. This ensures that the applied paint meets the required micron-level thickness as specified by the customer. The test verifies uniformity, prevents under-coating or over-coating, and ensures long-term protection and performance of the part.
